Carols in the Hall 2005
Why hell-o there people! I've just come back from watching 'Alien Resurrected'... Quite a good movie. But I tell ya, that alien is sooooo butt ugly! *shudder* Anyways, today Di and I were invited to sing at Womens Aglow, which is a gathering of Christian women, who come together every month to share. It was their last meeting of the year, so they invited us Di and I to sing and play the trumpet for them. I sand 'Rejoice' and 'Manger Throne' and by the end of them, all the women were crying! I sat down, and Diana was like "Great one! You've made them all cry!" They all laughed. But as I looked around, they all had tissues out and were dabbing their eyes. They were really sweet aye. And Diana played beautifully as well, as always of course! I left the meeting feeling really blessed and up lifted. I thought that we'd just sing and go, but they blessed us with food, gifts, a new cd and paid us too. It was a great blessing, and I was very grateful. Its just so awesome when women can come together and bless each other in the presence of the Lord!
Afterwards, Di and I decided to walk up and down the street, looking at the different stalls. They were mostly antique stalls... and man, they were awesome! I am SO going back there. I was really inspired. Like, if I take a few acting courses at uni, I am SO going back there and buying props aye... Oh so awesome! I really love old stuff aye. They don't make things like that anymore. Another mans junk is another mans treasure!
Last night was our Carols in the Hall! It went really well. Had an awesome night singing and sharing the word. The music sounded great and we got a good response from the crowd. I really enjoyed it... Cos you only get to do it once a year. We gotta do it again at pops church next Sunday night too! So that'll be nice... I think its just my family, along with Andrew and Joy playing the instruments... I think thats it? Dunno if the other band members are performing too. So that should be good.
Oh oh oh! I also got a new cd player in my car! Well, new to me anyways. Cramer had one lying around at his house, so he gave it to me as a Christmas present! Thanks Cramer! So Michael, Robert and Cramer spent a few hours installing it into my car... lol, I needed to get to church, but they were still working on it. So Robert gave me his car keys and I drove his to church :-D It took me a few minutes to get used to her, but I soon got comfortable with her. Shes a beauty. But you can easily speed in her aye... hehe. Not that I did. Cos I'm a good girl. And of course, it wasn't my car so I treated her extra carefully. But my cd player is great! And soon, Dads gonna upgrade his speakers, so I get his old ones! Yay! Which, mind you, are really good as well. So God has really been blessing me over these past few weeks! Of course, there have been some down moments, but mostly good things have been happening. Thank you Jesus!
