Pastor David Wilkerson Conference

The last two nights have been awesome! Why? Cos I was allowed (yes allowed... finally! It was horrible being locked up in my house when everyone's out!) to go out to the AMAZING conference on Monday and Tuesday night. You see, I got exams next week, so I should be studying... But ya know, I can't be stuffed! And I really wanna hear the word, cos theres nothing better than that! So, I went out! Yay! It was so exciting. I LOVE being surrounded by other Christian's. It just stirs you spirit, gives you fuel to go on... In a world that doesn't care, doesn't want to hear the warnings of God...
So, this 2 day conference called 'Renewing your Passion for Christ' was an eye opener. Had the FAMOUS New York pastor of Times Square Church come over and preach to us (as I said in my last post). For those who weren't there, you missed out aye! BIG TIME! Far out, some of the stuff he had to say was scary... The end times are near. Like talking from Revelations and stuff. Now THAT is something you don't hear often. So, it was great to hear that word.
On the Monday I had Robert, Diana and Paul in my car as I drove to the Convention Centre. Ryan took Trav in his and Matt & Fi came together also. A few peeps from my church came also, but us youth don't wanna hang out with the oldies, do we? *wink. Chuckle giggle* Hehehe, Luke hates it when I say that. Anyways, so we all went there, heard the word, had an AWESOME time. The music wasn't bad, the word was GREAT. Far out, Pastor David W is 75 and still preachin! A good achievement from and old guy, I must say! (hehehe... sorry about all these oldie remarks. I'm a bit ageist you see... Ask any of my school friends, they'll tell ya!) Afterwards my friends were a bit hungry, so we went in search for a cafe so we could have a coffee together. We ended up goin to Vic Park to an all night pizza place. It wasn't bad... hahaha... The guys didn't like sittin where we were, because right in front of them was this humungous screen which had chicks in bikinis dancin all over it. Hahaha... it was wrong. You'd watch them, they'd like glance at it and then groan like, oh gosh, that shocking. They'd shake their heads... It was funny. I think its pretty wrong as well. I mean, its degrading!!!!! Why do girls do it to themselves??? WHY???!!!
So at around 11:30 we went back to my place and the guys slept over (matt and Fi went home). Pretty much all the guys had slept over my place since Sat night... My place is like a second home to most :-) I love it. I wouldn't change a thing! Then the next day everyone was outa the house again except me :-( So I looked forward to them coming home. The guys came back, and cooked a bbq. I enjoyed sittin with them and eatin ... haha and teasing Paul. Hows your blood blister Paul?? :-P heeheehee. Afterwards I got ready, hopped in the car with Paul and Di, got sum petrol and drove back down to the convention centre for another amazing night. (I had been a little jealous of the guys when they came back that day from the day service. They'd said that God's glory had been there hey and ppl were praying and speaking in tongues and being filled with the spirit. I so wish I had of been there). We got there and had to wait awhile, cos they hadn't opened the doors yet. After awhile we got in, sat down, and had the music and was absolutely touched by the message the pastor gave. It was amazing! And so scary... I"m not looking forward to whats gonna happen in the worl aye... The end times are near. Well, we ARE in the end times! Just look at the Pakistan earthquake, the hurricane and floods in America, 911, Bali bombings, the tsunami in Asia ater Christmas, and now, the threatening bird virus which scientists say will wipe out a whole lot of economy in Australia. Scary stuff... But so true. All we can do is put our trust in God, put our lives in the palm of his hand, and stand strong! Put our hope in God... He is the only hope for us all...
After that life changing sermon, where it ended with most of the youth in the audience runnin down to the front and dancin away to the music, I caught up with my Nan and Pop, talked to them and other ppl I hadn't seen for awhile. Then we left and went to Vic Park Macca's... SO did the oldies! Oh, they so wish they were young like us... Thats why they decided to follow us to Macca's... In hopes to catch a little bit of our youngliness and energy that they have so little of. lol... After sittin there and havin to endure a lot of swearin from a bunch of guys sittin nearby... (Luke and Fi told em to stop swearing... It died down a little, but now much. They had DIRTY mouths aye. Fowl) We went home afterwards and I sat with Paul in the sun room talkin while we waited for Ryan to cum back from droppin Trav off... And thats it! That was my exciting 2 days... It was awesome aye. And now, I'm at home and sippin a muzz buzz coffee after studyin with my teacher at school. Mmmmmmmm muzz buzz drive-in coffeeeeee... hehe.
