A Good Day After All!!!

Hey!!! Today I was havin a real average/bad day... I mean, I had an exam in the morning (art history... it went well tho cos I wrote 11 pages overall!!! I didn't know that I knew that much!!) and then I had to finish off some of my art work... but didn't get it finished. Then I had to go and practise a song that I'm gonna sing infront of 2000 PEOPLE on Sunday! Arrrrg... and then I had to finish off a human bio assessment. AND THEN after skool I went and pleaded my art teacher to give me an extension... he did, thank God!
Afta dat we travelled up the hill to Roleystone for my drum lesson... Don't get me startedon him. He made me cry. Wot happened was, was that it was a particular rhythm on the snare and I understood it, my head had it, but my hands wouldn't do it!!!! And after the 6th time my teacher just got so annoyed at me!!! Then he kept pickin on me and calling me rude and an amature. *sigh* it was soooo aweful. I felt like walking out of my lesson, then and there! I got into the car aftaward and just cried... mum felt sorry for me so she went and bought me an icecream on the way home!!! :-)
When we got home I went straight to the comp to zone out, but Diana called out to me from the kitchen. "Alyce! You have a package for you on the kitchen bench!"
"A package?" I asked her as I made my way from the computer room to the kitchen. As I walked into the kitchen, I turned towards the bench and there was my little package wrapped in white plastic, addressed to me.
I then proceeded in unwrapping it, thinking of who may of sent it to me at the same time. Could it have been my grandma as a early Christmas present, or from an advertising agency, or someone who had gotten the wrong address...? But no, it was none of these.
"Oh!!!!!!!!" I exclaimed as I finally ripped the plastic off my prize. It was a package full of makeup and a smooth, blue case containing funky sunnies. A note fell out of the wrapping and I picked it up and read it.

"Congratulations!

"Oh My GOSH!" I exclaimed as I read it.

"Oh YEH!!! I won something! I WON SOMETHING!!!! Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!!!!!!!!!!" I proceeded to yell. mum and Diana then both came into the kitchen to see what I was screaming about, and found me wearing my new sunnies, waving my letter around and grinning from ear to ear as I jumped around the kitchen.

"I sent a txt to this competition in Girlfriend and I won! I've entered about 4 of these now! How awesome is that??!!"

So there you have it! A bad day can always turn into good. You go from being a crying sulk to a happy and bubbly 4 year old!

"Well thank God for turning your day around Alyce." Mum said as I was running out of the house towards my next door neighbours (as my neighbour is a good friend of mine), with my prize in hand.
